This show will be hit the TV screens shortly, and it will be streamed through the digital platform. She has finally signed up the model Naghma Rizwan as the lead lady for her show. The model will be debuting opposite ace star Karan Kundrra. The love saga of the show is set in the mode of 60s and 70s of Calcutta.
Ekta introduced the new actress Naghma Rizwan through her Twitter handle and Naghma Rizwan is quite elated about her acting debut.
She has quoted that she is very much happy about the new opportunity and was also very much enthusiastic about the character Kusum that will be played by her. She also felt that Ekta Kapoor might have seen something special in her apart from her external beauty and also her potential for becoming an actress.
Speaking about her role in the show “It Happened in Calcutta”, Naghma said, “Getting into the skin of the character is going to be exciting. She is like a vast sea to me, chaotic yet calm, strong yet vulnerable. The deeper you dive into her story, the more she is going to surprise you with all the beauty she beholds, just like the sea. To play a character who goes through all kinds of feelings with that intensity is an honor for any actor and I’m all prepared to make them feel proud of their decision for selecting me to be Kusum.”
